Hello, folks... I´m in trouble transfering data from MS-Sql to IDS 9.40.FC5 What happens is that text fields that contains some different chars (sql server indicates this collation: Latin1_General_CI_AS), when inserted/updated on IDS doesn´t respect these chars (ç,á,ú,ò, etc). My default IDS databases have the following NLS information: NLS Capabilities and Attributes en_US.819 Collating Sequence en_US.819 CType I´ve already changed my IDS database to en_US.1252 Collating Sequence en_US.1252 CType mainly because my odbc connection informed that it was my Client Locale is en_US.CP1252 I thought it would solve my problem, but it didn´t !!! Someone could please help my needs??? Thanks a lot for your always useful helps.
please provide more information as to how you have configured your clients My guess is that CLIENT_LOCALE is incorrect somewhere, I assume that all clients are using DB_LOCALE=en_us.cp1252. Windows Clients using CLIENT_LOCALE=en_us.cp1252 DOS Clients may use CLIENT_LOCALE=en_us.850 or en_us.cp1252 depending on how windows is configured, Unix Clients could use any locale, it depends on your LC_ALL settings and your terminals capabilities.
