But in this case I'll make an exception since I probably own more Informix stock than Boris. First, because of their restatement problems and the acquistion of Illustra, Informix has been trading at around 6. Because of Oracle, Informix and Sybase have been downgraded as an industry. (This is bizare because the industry *giants* have different focus.) Is Informix in the *danger zone*? No. It is not. Is it in trouble? Perhaps. But lets give Bob a chance. (Hint: I'll definately be at the shareholder's meeting.) Boris like to sound off yet his posts don't deserve response other than to tell him to use his left hand, unless that too has gone numb. :-) I could elaborate more, but lets be realistic. I've been on a bender for the last 24 hours. (Its 4:00 am CST). I doubt that any REAL company expects real work or deals to be signed between now and Jan 5th! IMHO, if you don't have the stomach, don't invest in anything but gold and gov. bonds. -Just a drunken comentary from your favorite Uncle. Mikey. PS. One must keep the faith. The problem with Informix has never been a technology issue. It has been a people issue. If Bob can re-establish a clear path and make a few changes, Informix should come back stronger than ever. (Ok, its a longshot, but maybe he'll listen to reason.) :-) -- #include <std_disclaimer.h> /* Mike Segel (MS385) */ #include <No_Spam.h> #ifdef OFFENDED_BY_CONTENT The author takes no responsibility for this post.
