Report writing tools

Hi, I am interested in hearing about any experience you have had with end-user reporting tools. We have a bunch of users who would like to get a report writing tool which will generate reports for them. They need the ability to design the reports including the layout and also be able to access the database to perform SQL queries. Does anyknow know of any good tools which will preferably run on the Sun/Solaris platform ? I looked at the Informix web site and noticed they have a tool called Informix-SQL. There are some 3rd party tools as well, but they are more along the lines of application GUI builders, not stand-alone report generating tools. Thanks, Uday
