News Server down

I think its a problem with my news server. Seriously, does any one know how to check for this in the outlook newsreader ?

I can see you - and the other messages, but I'm not sure how timely. Some news servers are very slow to share with other servers. That is compounded by the fact that 1/2 the people on this list are using a mailing list which shares with the news servers through a gateway. This gateway has to firstly receive your message - ie suffer any delays your server gives in passing on your message, and THEN the gateway has to be working :-) Occasionally the gateway craps out so there can be a temporary dislocation between the mail people and the news people.
