Michal, the statistics for each table are held in the sysmaster database. The best table I have found is sysptprof. This has the foillowing columns in 9.3 dbsname char(128) Database name tabname char(128) Table name partnum integer Partition (tblspace) number lockreqs integer Number of lock requests lockwts integer Number of lock waits deadlks integer Number of deadlocks lktouts integer Number of lock timeouts isreads integer Number of isreads iswrites integer Number of iswrites isrewrites integer Number of isrewrites isdeletes integer Number of isdeletes bufreads integer Number of buffer reads bufwrites integer Number of buffer writes seqscans integer Number of sequential scans pagreads integer Number of page reads pagwrites integer Number of page writes A query on this table should help. As a suggestion I often select from this table into a temp table and then work from there regards Malcolm ----- Original Message ----- From: "Michal Hajek" <hajek@nspuh.cz> To: <informix-list@iiug.org> Sent: Friday, November 07, 2003 9:43 AM Subject: which tables have lowest cache hits? > Hi, > > our buffer rate increased (to about 6) and it seems it is because low > write cache hit (about 93%).
