One of our perl developers handed me this a few minutes ago, and I'm not
getting many returns when I GTFI. He's getting an raised SQL -9700
error, "more than one routine resolves to given signature", but he's not
doing anything to invoke a trigger or SPL. His error is pasted below,
pointers to more info or a more appropriate place to ask the question
are welcome.
DBD::Informix::st execute failed: SQL: -9700: Routine (equal) ambiguous
- more than one routine resolves to given signature. at
/usr/lib/perl5/site_perl/Omni/MVC//Model/omares/Simple/room_inventory_dist.pm
line 100.
TIA

↪ replying to Dave Thacker
The routine being invoked is for an assignment operator for a UDT. There is in
his SQL an implied assignment of one datatype to a UDT of another type and more
than one of the overloaded equals operations could be applied.
