I hate to be the rainer on the parade, but I've never seen anything useful done in Java (yes, I know that doesn't preclude the existence thereof), however, Java taking over NE does not offer the bazillions of I4GL users out there much of an upgrade. I think the two may merge over time, but definitely not in the short term. I know (believe ?) Informix are planning to have a full Java development environment integrated into NE 3.2 or 3.3.
