Not sure if I understand the question, but if you're just trying to stop
logging a database, then delete the following row:
select * from systables where tabtype="L";
tabname syslog
owner informix
dirpath /users/informix/statsci/logs/statsci.log
tabid 0
rowsize 0
ncols 1
nindexes 0
nrows 0
created 09/02/1993
version 0
tabtype L
audpath
1 row(s) retrieved.
