unable to create unique index while dbimport ...

Hi, I am trying to import database on windows 2003 server. At the statement of unique index creation on 3 fields, it throws error - "Can not create unique index" because the records exist with duplicate values. I checked the records and there is no duplicate record.... Also if I create the unique index first and then insert the records then it works fine, but if I insert the records and try to create the unique index, it fails with error indicating the records have duplicate values. Also, if I export the same table and import on SQL server, everything runs fine ... What can be the problem? HI, The unique index is being created on 3 fields and none of them is having the null value... I am using Informix 9.4 on windows 2003 server.
