IIUG - New engine survey, your input needed
Posted in 1998
In preparation for this year's Informix Worldwide Users Conference, the IIUG would like to get your input on possible enhancements to the Dynamic Server engine. You input will be tabulated and presented to Informix Development managers at the conference and will become the focal point around which we will direct our engine-oriented advocacy efforts for the coming year. The survey we have posted on our web site is similar in nature to the one conducted at the recent Informix Partners Conference. In the 25 question survey, you will be asked to rate the importance of such features as being able to order output by columns not in the select statement use a join clause in a delete statement be able to create non-logged tables in a logged database have parallelized update statistics have an upsert/indate command to update or insert data depending on its existance in the table and more. We invite you to participate in the survey by pointing your web browser to http://www.iiug.org/advocacy/survey/iiug_survey2.html. The IIUG Board of Directors would like to thank Brian Vincent and Glenn Jacobson from Unique Systems, Inc. for helping us prepare this survey.
