Labelling stored procedure returns

I need to 'label' the return columns from a stored procedure. I have a ODBC application that executes a stored procedure, which in turn returns 15 fields. I then have to pull each of the fields out individually by name, but a stored procedure does not assign unique names to the fields. I am calling the stored procedure from Lotus Notes. Any advice/help would be greatly appreaciated.
