There is some inconsistency here, bot it doesn't "always" work but I find that I need to have teh DBSPACETEMP variable set for example export DBSPACETEMP=space1,space2 if you have space1 and space 2 identified in your onconfig file. I have only seen this when working with the secondary portion of a Data Replication pair. My experience has been through dbaccess or isql/report where I am connecting to the secondary from another service, eith through the Connect option in dbaccess or the database statement in isql/report Hope this helps -- Con Woodall Colorado St. U.; Veterinary Teach.
