Interface Engines

I have a set of disparate applications which run everything from RDBMS's to flat files for back ends. What I am looking for is an Interface Engine to enable me to import data into an Informix Data Warehouse, either in batch or real-time. I've had a demo from CAI Neon, but I'd appreciate input from y'all. I've heard of Data Junction and a couple of others. Any comments? Herb Blacker Database Administrator

For the RDBMSs, you can get gateways to access the queries with SQL. b. For the 'flat files' you can use the engine's virtual table interface (VTI) that allows you to create an interface to external data and present it within the database just like a table. c. Having the ability to write 'C' or Java routines inside the engine means that you can push all of the data type translation into the framework too. - All of this yields a SQL (ODBC, ESQL, JDBC, 4GL, whatever) top end to express the schlepping operations that you want to perform.
