Hi,
v11.50 FC8 , AIX 6.1
I need to perform a maintenance in the area of temporary dbspaces.
I have to remove some temporary dbspaces.
As there is no option to reset the on-fly DBSPACETEMP, so I set the
DBSPACETEMP variable in the profiles of users to not use the dbspaces I need.
It worked, now have no active user, using this area, but there are tables lost
there.
I can not remove a dbspace , where the onspaces return there is data in it.
After Identify these tables via the "onstat-T" and selects the systabnames /
systabinfo. I can identify the owner and see that these tables are user who
have no active sessions in the database.
Is there any way to force the cleanup of these tables without performing
bounce the instance? (which is impossible in the coming months, is a 24x7
production environment, up of than 4 factories depend of the system/database)
I found this :
https://www-304.ibm.com/support/entdocview.wss?uid=swg1IC69034
But I still have some hope... for any underground or not document way for
version 11...
Bouncing the server will clean up the temp tables at startup.
