Backend Transparency

Hi, Our database backend runs exclusively on Informix under HP-UX. We're looking at what's involved to allow the DB backend to also run on Informix on a) Sun (Solaris), and b) Windows NT. In theory, any command run on 1 Informix platform should behave the same on any Informix platform. However, I need to really understand the differences if there are any (I assume there are some). I'm interested in both SQL command results as well as other behaviors such as ontape, oncheck, adding chunks, etc. Yes, I'm aware of the block size difference between Unix and NT.
