ODBC drivers help please

Hi All , IDS 7.31 32 bit Solaris I-CONNECT 2.9x on windows 2003 (Not sure if this valid combo) MS SQL SERVER 2005 beta I am using the new SQL 2005 beta version and the new DTS option of it to connect to IDS 7.31 db. I have looked at a number of other drivers and am using openlink lite32 ODBC and OLE DB installed. I have been looking on line to see how all this fits in and well got totally confused. OK thats's a very small bit of the background. The problem :- Using OLE DB conection to put enable me to put in a join between two tables I get "Object refernce not set to an instance" message. OK I know this is not much information but am hoping someone has come across a similar problem. I will provide more information if some can help.
