Dear All, When tried to connect to informix database from my ASP.Net (2.0) application I received "No error message available, result code: E_UNEXPECTED(0x8000FFFF)." this message. I tried all the connection strings available on the internet to connect to IDS. I am using IBM INFORMIX ODBC DRIVER 3.50.00.13590. Please help me in this regards. I tried the following connection strings..... Dim cn As New System.Data.OleDb.OleDbConnection 1. 'cn.ConnectionString = "DSN=cms_net;UID=root;PWD=root;Provider=""IBM INFORMIX OLEDB DRIVER""" 2. Regards. 1) You said you´re trying to connect via ODBC, but your string says: OLEDB provider. 2) In case you want to use OLEDB, you need to run a script on your Informix instance, to enable it. 3) In case you need ODBC, just create the DSN driver, on windows, and use the correct kind of string, ok?
