Re: passing database through ARG_VAL?

Start your 4gl app with DATABASE <tempdatabase> ... ... LET db_name = arg_val(1) DATABASE db_name Obviously, when the 4GL compiles, it must have all the necessary tables within the tempdatabase so that it won't produce any errors. Once the program has compiled, you can execure it passing it the relevant database name. As long as its in the DBPATH ( for SE ) then this should work okay. We have used the same thing using ODS 7.2x compiling against one database and running it against another - it works fine !!!
