Error Number 252 and 770 in ODS 7.14.UD2

Hi All Wonder if anybody's seen this problem and if so, do you have any = workarounds. I have a multi-dbspace instance, where my table is in one dbspace and = some of its indexes are in the same dbspace and some are on another = dbspace. When I try to ALTER TABLE to add a column to the table of length = CHAR(6), it gives me the error message: -252:Cannot get system information from table -770:Bad fragment id specified. I ran an oncheck -cID on the table, and it validated OK. The only thing = I can think of is to unload the table and reload the table to see if the = error goes away. However it is a large table and I would prefer to try = other options before I do this. Here is some info about the environment: ODS Version: 7.14.UD2 HP-UX Version: HP-UX 10.01 Table Row Size: 263 Number of Rows: 179343 Size of dbspace where table resides: 1 GB Free space on dbspace where table resides: 791 MB Size of dbspace where some of the indexes reside: 1 GB Free space on dbspace where some of the indexes reside: 748 MB Size of DBSPACETEMP (2 in all): 1 GB, 0.5 GB per dbspace Free space in DBSPACETEMP (2 in all): 976 MB Thanks in advance for your help.
