Shared memory errors

My site is running OnLine 7.13 on Sun OS on two physically separate, but allegedly identically configured, servers. On one, no problem. On the other, onmonitor shows a status of Online, but tbstat -l for example shows no logs followed by a segmentation fault. Other utilities give a message something like "Changing database structures". We don't get support from Informix, but from our TPV. Predictably the vendor and Sun blame one another.
