ARC Serve Back-Up Agent for Informix

We are currently running Informix 7.xx on HP-UX 10.2. The informix database is being used for our company in BAAN IV. We are considering purchasing ARC Serve Back Up Agent for Informix. Is anyone out there using this product and can you tell me if this is a viable back-up and restore configuration for our purposes. We have been using HP Omni-Back for back-up, but have have not been able to make this implementation work. Neither the HP folks or the Informix folks have been able to resolve this problem for us. All replies will be greatly appreciated.
