I want to add something here : The problem is that in 7.2x Such aggreation function was checked on run-time (And it was Ok to receive messages like procedure (xx) returns not exactly one row), while in 7.3 this cheking start performing on prepare-time and if Informix is _not so sure_ about number of returned rows in procedure it's always returns error (when my procedure was replaced by it's equivalent -- NVL everything start working, why NVL is better than mine for Informix ? :)).
