Sometimes when a client crashes during a transaction, Informix doesn't notice that. As a consequence the referenced tables are locked. The question is how these tables can be unlocked again (by interactive commands). Thank you very much. Regards, Thomas ----- End Included Message ----- Not sure what a "DEC/Alpha" environment is, but if it's anything like UNIX, go to the directory where the database is, move down one level to the xxx.dbs directory (where xxx is the database name), and type : clearlok at the prompt. Hope this works on your system :-) Cheers, Richard. ----------------------------------------------------------------- | _ /\\ | Richard Thomas | | \\ 0_ | r.thomas@csl.gov.uk | | \\ / | | | oo/ | "20 Regal and a four-pack, | | / \\ | I guess I'm set for the night" | | \\_/ | - "TV Tan" The Wildhearts | -----------------------------------------------------------------
