Hi, I'm having problems with the installation of ODBC drivers of Informix in Linux. After downloading the zip file and unzipping it, I untared the linux.tar file. Then I setup some environment variables but it seems I though they weren't enought. Do you have any idea? Any help will be appreciated, thanks! JorgE.H
There is usually an installation script in the Informix tarballs. It is normally called something like install<product> so look for installODBC or installodbc or something like that. During the running of the install script is when you enter your serial number and serial key value that you got when you downloaded the package. That is used to brand the executables which will not work without having been so branded. Art S.
