Re: Replicating in Active Server Directory Domain
Posted in 2004
I had a similar problem connecting application servers running iconnect to the informix database server using a private LAN. Problem turned out to be a difference in the host file entries compared to the host.equiv entries. host.equiv had the FQDN address while I only assigned private IPs to hostname in the hosts file to force database connections on the private LAN. Ensure both file entries match. Whether this is related to replication I am not sure, but something to check. The Informix help file suggests to include the entries in the /etc/hosts.equiv even when %WINDIR%\\system32\\drivers\\etc\\hosts.equiv is created on windows 2000 server informix still reports that the user is not trusted. The user informix is an Active Server Directory Domain user. Any kind of help will be greatly appreciated..
