Translating with DrWatson… this can take a few seconds the first time.
This is a genuine, complex translation. DrWatson protects commands, error codes, and log output while naturally translating the surrounding text. It’s translated once and saved.

Although the 4GL won't compile unless the tables referenced are in the
Informix DB suppose they were in the ORACLE DB too.
Then wouldn't it be nice for cursors + SQL to access ORACLE instead?
Hey, Don't laugh, but if Oracle had any sense they would replace whatever
the I4GL calls, specific to Informix, with theirs.
Don't suppose there's anything out there?
Anyone? Anyone? Anyone?
No.
I actually want to run the same 4GL logic without converting
to C +ESQL and interchange with PRO*C for each DB.
