Translating with DrWatson… this can take a few seconds the first time.
This is a genuine, complex translation. DrWatson protects commands, error codes, and log output while naturally translating the surrounding text. It’s translated once and saved.

Is there a reliable method of determining the number and types
of parameters required by a dynamic SQL query passed to ESQL?
The only references in the documentation and the samples seem
to indicate that a priori information is required (or alterna-
tively the query needs to be parsed) when passing parameters.
I would like to be able to look at something analogous to the
sql descriptor (or sqlda) syntax to extract this information.
