I am fairly new to the Informix environment and have what is probably a really stupid question.... I have created a stored procedure SQL command file using an editor like vi (UNIX environment) and have ran it using DBACCESS and had the stored procedure saved within in the Informix SE database. Now, I want to know where the stored procedure is physically located. For example, various tables and indexes have .dat and .idx extensions, do the stored procedures have a special extension and is located in a special directory or are the stored procedures buried someplace in one of the .dat or .idx files... Any assistance is appreciated. Please reply back to mdewing@crestbrook.com -- Mike Dewing Crestbrook Forest Industries

Every procedure is recorded in some system tables within the database: Sysprocedures --Identifier for the procedure Sysprocbody --Contains your code Sysprocplan --Contains the Execution Plan decided by the Cost Optimizer Sysprocauth --records privileges grantes to users on a procedure eg: execute, delete Regards Paulo Mike Dewing wrote: > > I am fairly new to the Informix environment and have what is probably a > really stupid question.... > > I have created a stored procedure SQL command file using an editor like vi > (UNIX environment) and have ran it using DBACCESS and had the stored > procedure saved within in the Informix SE database. > > Now, I want to know where the stored procedure is physically located.
