Hi, I need a tool to update the dbshema of a database. Is there a tool to compare 2 databases to know, which changes I need update? I have server studio DB diff tool, but I have not the complete licencie to compare diferencies. Thanks in advance.
In my utils2_ak package there is a script, mydbdiff, that compares two database schema, either two live databases using myschema or else a live database to a saved myschema output file. Myschema is included in the package. (Note I just found a typo in the script, you have to delete the first line in the script if it says "select". Don't know when that got in there, I haven't looked at the script for a long time. You can download the latest utils2_ak package from my web site at: www.askdbmgt.com/my-utilities.html Art Art S.
