Dbexport/Dbimport through pipe giving prob

Informix - 7.23 On-Line DSA O/S - Solaris 2.4 I was trying to do dbexport and then dbimport through pipe. dbexport works fine b'coz i can see that exported file which includes all dll and load statemnet But when i say dbimport, it works but not completely. It creates database and couple of tables then it says "Corrupt Data". For further testing, i created sports7 database and do following operation mknod /tmp/mypipe p dbexport sports7 -t /tmp/mypipe -b 512 -s 23000000 on another session dd if=/tmp/mypipe of=test.sql bs=512k it creats test.sql then i tried dbimport[drop database first] dbimport sports7 -t /tmp/mypipe -b 512 -s 23000000 on another session dd if=test.sql of=/tmp/mypipe bs=512k it creats sports7 database but after couple of table loading it breaks and says "corrupt data" I tried the jobs in background but no help.
