Dear all, I think it's time for me to add my $0.009 (ZAR0.02) Informix has very quietly put out a technical partner/developer partner program which appears to allow qualified developers to buy any Informix product at $150.00 per user or license, plus full list price maintenance. The number of users is limited and I'm sure it'll be quite tough to qualify, *and* I don't know if it's just in the US, but it does seem to go a long way towards meeting Nils's objections.
