May be incorrect, for more info, please see http://www.msnbc.com/news/139296.asp and http://www.redhat.com/ read in the section "Red Hat in the news" Jan. 27, 1998--MSNBC:A Titanic Challenge to Microsoft The movie "Titanic" is super-mega hit and is probably the movie of the CENTURY! The photography, sound effects and direction is excellent. And best ofcourse is LINUX is USED for making TITANIC!! I hope oracle, sybase, and informix will be ported to LINUX very soon. Linux also won the "Network Operating System" of the year 1997 , see the Jan 98 issue of InfoWorld magazine. garym@sympatico.ca wrote: > > In the interests of accuracy: http://www.titanicmovie.com has a transcript > of the IRC with the director ... > > The 30 minutes of digital effects (which cost $40M) were rendered on SGI > hardware ... _and_ on NT machines. > > -----== Posted via Deja News, The Leader in Internet Discussion ==----- > http://www.dejanews.com/ Now offering spam-free web-based newsreading
