Fuzzy Searches

Does anyone know how to perform fuzzy searches on an Dynamic Server 7.2 database? We attempted to upgrade to Universal Server so that we could use the text datablade, but there seems to be a bug in Universal Server that causes the system to hang several times a day, so we were forced to go back to 7.2. Are there any 3rd party tools out there that will add this functionality? TIA
