ACCEPT-Key under 4gl - Solaris 2.3

Sirs, I have problems with the ACCEPT-key under 4gl. The following small program displays 2 times an array of data. The first input can be terminated by hitting an ESC only, the next screen will be displayed. But when I want to terminate the second screen, I must hit ESC plus an extra character. What is wrong??
