I think you have the instance already running on memory, look at it using the "ps -ef| grep oninit" commands, when you have the error "shared memory already exists" means that is running already and you are trying to bring it up again, I think you should have to check your environmental variables and match them with the onconfig and sqlhosts files in your etc directory, maybe you are trying to bring another instance of the engine up.
