To my understanding is that IDS 7.31.UD8 is limited to a 2 gig logical volume/chunk. For AIX 5.3 with IDS 10, is this limitation removed where I can create a greater than 2 gig chunk for say tempdbs? Yes. If the OS supports larger files IDS9.40 and later supports larger chunks than 2GB. Art S.
