New Era Error #4518!!

[New Era 3.10] Heellppp! I'm begging for the answer... I keep getting the runtime error #4518, I know the normal remedy is to switch from compiling in p-code to c-code. But I AM compiling in C-code & still get the same error. I'm doing a large amount of db transactions, repeatedly using similar functions... which were passing CHAR(*). In an attempt to reduce the size of the CHAR(*) buffer I'm now only passing ixStrings but still get the same problem I'd greatly appreciate it if somebody could tell me were I'm going wrong on this one...
