Re: Another ODBC Question

I just tried this. I'm able to connect OK (on NT), but I can't tell if it's working properly because I have other Informix problems. I'm having trouble getting the table definitions right for binary data....seems there isn't another binary data type other than BYTE, and BYTE can't be used as a primary key......and my key and other fields are binary......and I'm kind of perplexed right now. We're bypassing the ODBC driver manager with DB2, so I am also interested in the possibility of doing this with Informix. You just have to be careful to not use calls that are supposed to be handled by the driver manager and you have to realize that the driver manager isn't there to do ODBC 3.0 - ODBC2.0 call conversions for you. So it might be best to stick with 2.0 calls.
