RE: running C program using IUS9.13

Dominic, Your question is clearer, but it still isn't complete. Remember, we don't know anything about what you are trying to do except what you explain to us. That isn't to say you should explain every nuance in a message taking up kilobytes of text, but we do need to know precisely (and concisely) what you are trying to do. Where are you trying to execute the C program? On the Unix command line? In a stored procedure? In a SELECT statement? In a datablade? Will it be executed by the Web datablade? What are you trying to return from the C program? The execution status (exit code)? The information written on standard output? Is the information to be included in the response to the browser? If you are trying to do it in a stored procedure or a SELECT statement, then I think you're out of luck, regardless of whether you want the standard output or the exit code. If you are doing it in some datablade code, then it may be feasible, but I'm sure the code would have to be run on VP other than a CPU VP (an external VP?). A more accurate answer will also depend on the capabilities of the Web datablade; you need to get someone more expert on that to help. I am trying to execute a c program and return it to the web datablade. So I can try it by using DBaccess first before writing the apb page. Hope you will be able to help. Thanks.
