AHHH intersolve odbc are slow !!!

well listen ... there is an informix 7.0 database... there is i-connect 7.2 on the client side .. and intersolve odbc drivers 2.5 .. i connect to an informix table that has 18 fields .. about 182 bytes each record .. ok .. it takes about 2 minutes just to open the table and fetch the firsts 226 records ?!?! .. does anyone knows if there is some configuration parameter i can work on .. or i just have to throw intersolve odbc drivers ... if so .. which one do u suggests ?! .. i know openlink .. sco vision ... but i didn't tested them. (openlink lite works with i-net 5.x .. and i have 7.2 .. so i have to wait the guys there upgrade their drivers)... do u think that the best solution for performances is to bypass informix softare .. ( that is i-star & i-connect ) and use odbc drivers that needs their own software on the server side as well ?! thank u for the feedback sabba
