Danny, It depends what you mean by 'shop'. It can be from a basic shop not even handling a cart (more like a catalog) to a more complex shop managing multiple references per article, complex logistic issues (multiple deliveries, returns, etc.), sales, promotions, nomenclatures, payments' It really depends on specifications. You will find plenty of examples in Java, PHP' You can find also plenty of existing Open Source products that might suite your needs and that you 'only' have to adapt to Informix. But, if it's a new dev, I would not consider Genero (nor any 4GL in particular). I guess TC made a joke there ;-). jgp On 18 Sep 2006 04:24:25 -0700, tc wrote > Use GENERO from www.4js.com > > Danny De Koster wrote: > > Hi all, > > > > We were wondering which tool we should use to develop an webshop with an > > informix database. > > Could anybody share his experience and tell us something about the tools > > that are used. > > > > thanks, > > Danny > > _______________________________________________ > Informix-list mailing list > Informix-list@iiug.org > http://www.iiug.org/mailman/listinfo/informix-list -- jgp
