hi,
i read in comp.databases.informix i can restrict access for one user.
i need to grant connect first. then revoke all and finally grant select
to the specifics tables.
But i doesn't work!!
for example: suppose i want restrict to the user toto on the table
webusers with only select.
grant connect to toto;
revoke all on webusers from toto;
grant select on webusers to toto;
Could Somebody tell me what's wrong with this?
What are the permissions for public?
If public has full connect (insert, update, delete) permissions on the
table, this will override any individual user's restrictions you place.
revoke connect from public (for the entire database), or for the table,
revoke all on webusers from publicthen grant select on webusers to toto
See if this helps.
