Translating with DrWatson… this can take a few seconds the first time.
This is a genuine, complex translation. DrWatson protects commands, error codes, and log output while naturally translating the surrounding text. It’s translated once and saved.

Imagine the following configuration:
database test1;
create table foo (col char(10));
revoke all on foo from public;create role testrole;
grant all on foo to testrole;
grant testrole to john;database test2;
create synonym foo2 for test1:foo;
Now, john is connected test2 and want's to
access table foo through the synonym foo2.
Can this be made to work using roles or do I
have to grant table privileges directly to the
user in the base table's database?
