Reading text data type from Informix into Powerbuilder

Item Subject: cc:Mail Text Hi Everyone, I needed a little help on reading a column of type text in to Powerbuilder. I use the statement SELECTBLOB in Powerbuilder and I've found that for one particular row, it does not pickup all the information - it only picks up part of the information. The column is used to store large text objects (an ascii text document) and this is the first time I've encountered this problem. Coincidently, this is probably the largest size text object ever to be stored in this column. The obvious question then is, is there a size limitation on Powerbuilder's Blob Data type? The problem is not at the Informix end -- It has no trouble storing the large text object, but it gets trucated when picked up by Powerbuilder. Following is the syntax: BLOB big_text {*Declare Blob Datatype in PB*} SELECTBLOB text_col INTO :big_text FROM table_a WHERE ..... I'm running Informix on-line 7.x and Powerbuilder 4.x. Any tips/feedback would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance. Anisha anisha_vaswani@hp.com
