There is Soundex information in the contributions section of the IIUG website.
Never looked at it myself, but I've seen it there. It won't be as transparent
as that, but then again I don't remember SOUNDEX as being part of the SQL
standard (then again, I'm not all that familiar with the ins and outs of
unimplemented (by Informix) SQL92).
