Try it with the INTO TEMP clause at the end, i.e.:
SELECT inventory.store_no, inventory.location, inventory.tag_id
FROM inventory WHERE inventory.location NOT MATCHES "910-*"
AND inventory.store_no IN
(SELECT wave_schedule.store FROM wave_schedule
WHERE wave_schedule.wave = wv_no)
INTO TEMP invtemptab
when you are selecting into a program variable, you put the
"INTO p_store_no" after the SELECT but before the FROM, but
"into temp some_table" always comes at the end.
