Dear Dave, I was making an observation about the marketing ethics of some software vendors, and it was a joke (that's what the smiley ":-)" means). I didn't really have anything to add to the thread, I have (at the moment) *no* interest in secure databases, I was making a comment about "a slimy marketing claim". I felt that in defense of Informix, I couldn't let the statement go unchallenged. And no, I don't work for them and never have - I just like their products. And yes, I *have* tried Oracle and I thought it sucked.
