Question regarding oncheck

Hello
Informix group,
I have a question regarding the oncheck utility on IDS 9.4 on HPUX 11i.
When I run "oncheck -cI dbname", I get this warning for just about every
index:
"WARNING: index check requires a s-lock on tables whose lock level is page."
From what I can tell, the index check is occurring, but what does this
warning really mean? Does it mean that the oncheck was unable to check
something, or is it just telling me what type of lock it is using?
Thank you in advance,
Jerry

This warning means that ONCHECK has acquired a table level lock required for its operation. It does NOT mean that ONCHECK was unable to check something. It is info for you to indicate that exclusive access can not be obtained on table while this check is on.
