CP1252 is Microsoft code page and should only be used on windoze. A database's locale is set according to DB_LOCALE at the creation time. To see what locale your database was created with do "select site from systables where tabid in (90,91)". If you want to change the database's locale you must dbexport database, change DB_LOCALE, dbimport database.
