INET & User Menus

We have Informix Net installed on a UNIX workstation. When we run isql and try to create a user menu for the database, the entries we make in sysmenus and sysmenuitems aren't always being saved. Also, even though we can modify these 2 tables, when we try to run the menu, we get an error saying that the menu doesn't exist. We created menus on machines running informix 2.10 and 4.0 that don't have Informix Net installed, and those menus work fine. Has anyone experienced similar problems? Thanks in advance.
